| Netwas a leading resource centre of excellence in the water and sanitation sector institution in Africa has undertaken much training using participatory methodologies. One among them is the Participatory hygiene and sanitation transformation (PHAST) in Sudan .This training was aimed at providing guidance to 18 Tear fund staff on interactive participatory facilitation in applying principals and tools of PHAST in promoting hygiene in their community. This course provided the Tear fund staff with an opportunity to learn how to deal with mainstream key crosscutting issues particularly those of gender and conflict management and to design a monitoring and evaluation survey kit for successful implementation of PHAST which had to be adapted by beneficiary communities. |
