History has proved that over 70 % of the water and sanitation interventions in developing world that have ignore gender issues proved to be unsustainable.
The course on mainstreaming gender in water and sanitation seeks to address this anomaly by using participatory approach through out the training. Course objectives - To achieve greater awareness, understanding and use of participatory approaches to involve communities in water and sanitation from a gender perspective.
- To promote awareness of gender issues through analyzing roles and activities and mobilizing resources needed to inter grate gender issues in programming processes.
